Road Blogging 3

Didn't think you'd see one of these again, eh? I'm on spring break, and I'm going for walks in the evening again.

I've been driving again. I quite enjoy the feeling of driving on the freeway. The broad, open thoroughfares are perfect for a soothing but attentive drive. I feel confident at the wheel, really. I have control over a machine that can get me places. It feels liberating to know that in just twenty minutes I can go to a restaurant, or the library, or whatever else.

Yet, nothing will replace that feeling of going on a walk in the countryside at evening, when the sun is beginning to set, and the sky slowly darkens over with orange, and purple, and black, falling in layers over the sky. Then the stars come out, and the moon comes out, and by that point I don't feel like going home, because all I care to do is sit and gaze upwards at the limitless void of heaven, the undying, beautiful void that is Earth's portal to an ever-expanding cosmos.
